Opening hours
We would like to inform our visitors that the Museum is currently closed for restoration work. Please follow us on social media and on our website to stay up to date.
Whilst awaiting the reopening, you can visit the exhibition Body Secrets. A Journey through Human Anatomy via Medicine and Archaeology, which, from 1 July 2026, will be open at the following times:
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm
The exhibition will be closed on the following days in July and August 2026:
- From Thursday 6 to Tuesday 28 August
- From Monday 13 to Friday 17 July
We also invite you to visit the University Museum System’s YouTube channel for a virtual tour of the museum and further content on the museum’s collection.

Please note that tickets can only be paid by cash at the entrance to the exhibition Body Secrets. A Journey into Human Anatomy Through Medicine and Archaeology.

By bus
- From Pisa Centrale Train Station
Take bus linea 1+ – bus stop via Fermi 1 and then walk ahead for 4 minutes
- From Galilei International of Pisa
Take Shuttle Pisamover until Pisa Centrale Train Station
Take the bus linea 1+ – bus stop via Rustichello 1 and then walk ahead for 4 minutes
- From Marina di Pisa tourist port
At the bus stop Marina Barbolani 2 take the bus Linea 10 until bus stop Pisa Sesta Porta
Reach Pisa Centrale Train Station on foot in 5 minutes and take the bus Linea 1+ until the bus stop Rustichello 2
- From Port of Livorno
Take the bus Linea 5 until the bus stop Grande 5, then take the bus Linea 1+ untile Livorno Centrale Train Station.
Take the Regional Train for Pisa Centrale Train Station.
At the Pisa Centrale Train Station take the bus Linea 1+ – until the bus stop Rustichello 2
